For Parents/Guardians: Changing your email address

Parents can update their email addresses in Scoir by adding a new one as a secondary and then converting it to the primary. Then, you can remove the previous email.

Please note: An email address can only be use on one account in Scoir. The same email address cannot be on multiple accounts. This is especially noteworthy if you are both a parent and a teacher or staff member at a high school on Scoir.

To change an email address:

  1. Click on your profile icon in the top right corner of the page
  2. Click on your name to go to your profile
  3. On your profile page, locate your current email
  4. Click +Add Alternate Email and enter the new email address you want to use with your parent account. Click Save to the right of the email box, then click Done

  1. A validation message will be sent to the new email address. Open your email account, find the message, and follow the instructions to verify the new email
  2. Return to your Scoir profile and click Make Primary next to the new email address
  3. (Optional) Click the pencil icon next to the original email address to remove it
Only an alternate email address can be removed from an account. If you want to delete your primary email address, you can swap it with the alternate email using the steps previously mentioned in this article.
