How parents can sign the FERPA release

Parents/guardians can sign the FERPA release from the dashboard or through their student's profile.

Here’s what you need to know before signing:

☑️ The school’s settings will determine if the release is sent to parents or guardians when the student is under 18

☑️ The parent or guardian must be registered and linked to both the school and their student

Option 1: Sign the FERPA release from the dashboard

  1. Log into your Scoir account
  2. Look for a prompt on your parent dashboard regarding the FERPA release

  1. Click Get Started
  2. After reviewing the information and granting release authorization, click Sign & Finish

Option 2: Sign the FERPA release from your student’s profile

  1. Log into your Scoir account
  2. In the top right corner, check for a notification in your Profile Menu
  3. Click the Profile Menu, then select the student linked to the notification to open their profile (for example, Austin, as shown in the image below)

  1. In the FERPA section on the right side of the student profile, click Review and Sign
