For Non-Slate Colleges: Configuring File Preferences

Actions described in this guide require the Admissions Operations role.

Scoir's admission application offers a few configuration options to optimize the delivery of application materials. In this guide, we discuss configuring how you want files created and the data file that you’ll receive in each batch.

Please note that any changes made to your preferences will be reflected in the next scheduled batch and will not affect previously generated batches.

Your File Preferences

To configure your PDF preference, follow these simple steps:

  1. Go to the Delivery Preference page in the Documents tab.
  2. Choose whether you would like your files created as individual PDFs for each document or together as a single PDF.
  • Individual PDF option - Each application supporting document will be delivered as its own individual PDF file.
  • Single PDF option - All application supporting documents in the document batch will be sent combined as individual pages within a single PDF file.

Scoir Index File

Our robust Index File includes form data and metadata to help you better manage the volume of materials that are sent in support of applications.

As of October 2022, any existing schools that already receive documents from Scoir will maintain the state of the Index File, or they can choose to use the robust version with document metadata.

  • To receive the robust version, simply select “Yes” to the “Would you like document metadata and details included in your index file?” question on the Delivery Preferences page.

All new schools that sign-up to receive documents after October 2022 will be sent the robust version of the Index File with document metadata.

Please note that any changes made to your preferences will be reflected in the next scheduled batch and will not affect previously generated batches.
