For Colleges: Linking to an external calendar

Actions described in this guide require the Admissions Representative role.

This guide contains the following sections:

Linking your calendar

The Scoir Calendar feature enables you to link your external calendar to display within Scoir, as well as share scheduled visits to your external calendar, making it easy to view your schedule directly within Scoir or via your preferred calendar application.

Scoir currently only supports external calendar linking with Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook.

To link your external Google or Microsoft Outlook calendar to Scoir, follow these steps.

  1. Navigate to the Calendar page in the high School Visits tab.

  1. In the My Calendars tile, click + Link an external calendar.

  2. Select the provider of the calendar you wish to link, then sign-in.

Once the link is confirmed, you will be prompted to select from the dropdown menu which external calendar to sync with Scoir. This is the external calendar account that you want the Scoir visits to appear in. Please note only confirmed visits will be displayed in your external calendar.

Next, select up to three external calendars to display within Scoir. These calendars will only be visible to you and not to other members of your admissions team.

Disconnecting a linked calendar

To disconnect a linked calendar from Scoir, follow these steps.

  1. Navigate to the Calendar page in the Recruit tab.
  2. In the My Calendars tile, click Disconnect external calendar beneath the calendar you wish to disconnect.
  3. When prompted, click Confirm to disconnect.

Troubleshooting

I don’t see the window to select a calendar provider when I choose one from the Calendar Source selection.

If your browser doesn’t open the window to sign-in with your selected calendar provider, try turning off pop-up blockers in your browser’s settings, then try again.
