For Students: Creating an Account on Your Own (Non-Scoir High School Student Account)

Even if your high school is not using Scoir, you can still take advantage of all that Scoir has to offer! This article covers creating a Scoir account on your own, meaning you would be creating an account that is not associated with any high school.

The process is simple and free, and only requires an email address to get started.

If you have been invited by your high school to join Scoir (either from an invitation email or a URL), head to this document to start using Scoir with your high school.

This article covers the following topics:

How do I create a student account?

If you're joining Scoir on your own, create a student account by going to the student sign-up page and use your email address or Google account.

Create an account with your email address

To create an account with your email address, navigate to the student sign-up page.

  1. Begin by selecting Student.

  1. Enter the name of your high school and select it from the dropdown menu (even if your school does not use Scoir). If you don't see your high school, scroll to the bottom and select I don't see my school.
If you've already graduated, select I graduated already.

  1. Next, enter the email address of your choice and click Continue.
  1. Then, check your email inbox to complete the account registration process.

Create an account with Google

You can also sign up with an existing Google account to accelerate the registration process.

  1. Click the Sign in with Google icon on the student sign-up page to get started.

  1. You’ll be prompted to choose the Google account you wish to link.

  1. Once you select your Google account, you’ll be taken back to Scoir for verification. Enter your school's state, expected graduation year, and high school name (or select Other if you do not see your high school). Then click Sign Up.

When you’ve finished granting Scoir permission to access your Google account, you’ll be automatically signed-in to your new Scoir student account via Secondary Sign On (SSO).

You can continue to use the Sign in with Google button option to sign in to Scoir going forward as well!
