Syncing ClassLink with Scoir

Cristina Hernandez Updated by Cristina Hernandez

Syncing ClassLink with Scoir automates student and teacher rostering, ensuring your data remains accurate and up to date. This integration reduces manual data entry by syncing rosters, keeping Scoir aligned with your school’s most current enrollment records.

Below, you'll find important details about the syncing process, step-by-step instructions, next steps, and how to reach out to Scoir for assistance if needed.

📌 Important things to know before you begin

  • What rostering is supported? This integration auto-rosters students and teachers only.  We do not currently support parent rostering.
  • ClassLink and Scoir linkage: Each ClassLink Org ID can only be linked to one Scoir high school.
  • Required data sharing: Please ensure Demographic Data is shared. We require Date of Birth, and it must be included in the data shared with Scoir.
  • High school rostering options: We currently support rostering students in one high school or two high schools but not a combination of both.
  1. App Integration: Your IT administrator must add the Scoir app to ClassLink and configure it to share student and teacher data with Scoir.
  2. Data Verification: Confirm that all required student and teacher fields are being shared with Scoir, according to your data gathering instructions. (See the Student Required Fields and Teacher required fields sections below for details.)
  3. Student ID Specification: Email support@scoir.com to specify which field in ClassLink is currently used for High School Student IDs: (Sourced ID, Identifier, or User ID). This is essential for ensuring the correct ID is being pulled for your students.
  4. Automated Sync: Once configured, user information will be automatically updated in Scoir on a nightly basis.
  5. SSO Activation: After the ClassLink integration is complete, students and teachers can use the Single Sign-On (SSO) option to access Scoir.
