For Students: Using your Drive

Customer Support Team Updated by Customer Support Team

Scoir offers a secure solution for storing and organizing your files and links. You can add items directly to your Drive and manage them with just a few clicks. If you're connected to your high school in Scoir, your counselor can also add resources to your Drive for easy access.

Items in your Drive will be visible to your counselor and any parents or guardians linked to your account. This makes it easier for everyone involved to stay updated on your documents and resources.

  1. Click on the profile menu in the top-right corner of your screen and select View Profile from the dropdown menu.

Actions you can take on items in yourDrive

You can perform various actions on items in your My Drive by clicking the ellipsis (•••) next to a file or link. The actions available to you depend on whether you or your counselor directly added the item or if the item was shared to your Drive by your counselor.

  • Items you, your parent/guardian, or your counselor directly added: You have full ownership of these items and can take all available actions.
  • Shared items: Indicated by the icon, these were shared by your counselor. You don’t have ownership, so your actions are limited.

Here’s a quick rundown of the actions:

  • Preview: Take a glance at your file.
  • Download: Download a copy of the file.
  • Rename: Change the name of a file or folder.
  • Copy link: Copy the link to your clipboard.
  • Edit: Update a link or it's title.
  • Play: Open a video player and play your video.
  • Hide from parents/guardians: Restrict parents' access to the resource.
  • Delete: Remove files or folders from School Drive.
